Speech Therapy/Special Needs Program in the community and schools
Since April 2017, Hijos de Dios' volunteer program has helped children with special needs in our region. This is in response to the government's removal of programs in our area for children with special needs. Hijos de Dios empowers volunteers to work with many of these children.
This grassroots program is growing quickly and we already see change and healing happening in children and their families.
Hijos de Dios continues to have an impact in the community in Guatemala as we construct our new community centre to work with abused, neglected and disenfranchised children and their families.
Please pray for those involved in this program:
Kerry Blacklock: Director of Hijos de Dios
Gaby de Cáceres: Speech Therapist
Damaris Lemus: Social Worker in training
Lessy Sanabria: Teacher and Speech Therapist in training
Karen Saenz: Businesswoman
Lorena Vasquez: Director of the Generación Josue School.
