The Next Generation
My kids have joined me on many an adventure, so it thrills this father's heart to walk with his son and daughters in these important purposes. I love you Liam.

La Buena Carga
La Buena Carga. The GOOD Carry. The staff of Hijos de Dios joined with me on Day 5 to walk in Guatemala. They are amazing. They love their community and nation so much. In August they held a sports day, sold food and other items and had a movie night. They raised over 9000 Quetzales ($1600 CDN) to help the women in the community. It is because of people like this that we love our job and will invest in their lives as well. Vamos, Zaqueo, Obdulio, Karen, Brenda, Gloria, Lessy, Sheny, Luisa, Irma, Diana, Elsa.

Walking with a Friend
Walking with a friend is healing to the soul and spirit. Nothing like it. Bless you Larry.

When Others Surround You
Three days. 135km. 45lbs. A lot of steps. Body breaking down. Then you have a group of amazing people walk with you to help women in abuse. Thank you Joe and Mel Jesse and Warriors Spirit for joining with The GOOD Carry to help the women we work with.

When Something Hurts You Listen
I wondered if this would happen. I always like to push myself to extremes. On Day 3 my left ankle began to hurt A LOT. The weight. The distance. It was impacting me. First thought was: "Why did I decide to carry so much or walk so far each day?" No matter, the plan was to help abused women and I was going to push through the pain. But I was listening. When pain speaks, you need to listen. It means something is wrong.
Are we listening? To those around us. To a hurting world. To what God is saying.
Be still.
